    ECU Opens Second Greeneville Branch

    January 20, 2021

Eastman Credit Union’s (ECU) second Greeneville branch opened Wednesday, December 16 on West Andrew Johnson Highway near Aubrey’s restaurant.

“In 2016, we opened our first Greene County location.  Now, 12,000 new members later, we’re excited to open a second, full-service branch to serve the residents of this beautiful county and surrounding area,” said ECU president and CEO, Kelly Price.

ECU’s new branch will offer added conveniences for existing members and will provide opportunities for new members to open accounts. With consistently great rates on loans and deposits, ECU’s products have many desirable features like checking accounts that earn dividends on all balances and have no minimum balance requirement.  Auto loans feature 90-day payment deferrals and no penalties for early payoffs.  Mortgages are serviced locally and offer 100% financing options.

“In addition to our value-adding products and services, ECU also offers extraordinary member service and free financial wellness coaches that often save members hundreds of dollars over the life of their loans.  At ECU, our goal is to help all members make the most of their money whether it’s a little or a lot,” said Price.

Greeneville area residents welcomed ECU at their first location, the new full-service branch is slightly larger to ensure we can provide existing and new members with the service they expect from ECU.  The new facility will offer teller, deposit, consumer lending, and mortgage lending services.  It will also include a night depository, drive-thru tellers, drive-thru ATMs, and safe deposit boxes.

Eastman Credit Union has been steadfast at members’ sides for more than 86 years helping them build strong financial foundations. Because ECU is a not-for-profit financial institution, profits earned by ECU are returned to members through lower loan rates, better products and services, fewer fees, and consistently competitive deposit rates.  Since 1998, ECU has given back over $132 million to our members in an Extraordinary Dividend.  With the recent announcement of the $15 million dividend that will be paid out to our members in January 2021, this will bring our total to over $147 million paid to members just for doing business with us.
