Eastman Credit Union Invests in Community Wellness with $100,000 Donation to Healing Hands Health

BRISTOL, TN – On Thursday, September 25, Eastman Credit Union (ECU) presented a check for $100,000 to Healing Hands Health in support of its Building Health Inspiring Hope Capital Campaign to integrate medical and behavioral health services into a facility being renovated adjacent to their clinic. 

"Eastman Credit Union is honored to support Healing Hands Health in its mission to provide compassionate, comprehensive care to those in need," said Kelly Price, ECU's president and CEO. "We know many generous individuals and organizations have already stepped up to support this campaign, and we hope our contribution inspires others to do the same. Healing Hands is doing exceptional work to improve access to both medical and behavioral health services, and this new facility will make a lasting impact on the well-being of the communities we serve."

Healing Hands Health, a nonprofit organization providing quality, community-supported care to underserved individuals in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia, launched a capital campaign in 2023 to expand services and integrate behavioral health with medical services under one roof. A trusted provider of medical, dental, vision, and supportive care for uninsured and underserved individuals, Healing Hands Health has provided care to more than 16,000 residents of our region.

ECU's contribution will specifically fund the Pharmacy Student Workspace, a vital component of the new facility that will enhance training and service delivery. Healing Hands Health partnered with Appalachian College of Pharmacy seven years ago to support their medical and dental services.

"This investment will not only strengthen our ability to integrate medical and behavioral health services under one roof, but it will also enhance the training of future physicians, counselors, and pharmacists through our partnerships with ETSU Quillen College of Medicine, ETSU Department of Social Work, and Appalachian College of Pharmacy. ECU's generosity will have a lasting impact on the patients and families we serve, and we are honored to have them as partners in this mission."
