Eastman Credit Union Breaks Ground on Morristown Branch to Better Serve the Lakeway Region
MORRISTOWN, TN – Eastman Credit Union (ECU) held a groundbreaking ceremony today announcing its newest full‑service branch coming to Morristown in late 2026.
The Morristown construction project will bring forth ECU’s first location in Hamblen County.
“We are thrilled to join the Morristown community,” said Kelly Price, ECU’s president and CEO. “We have a lot of members in the area, and we’re eager to bring services closer to those members as well as share ECU’s extraordinary difference with those who are not familiar with us.”
The new Morristown branch will feature a modern rendition of ECU’s traditional craftsman style with a welcoming design and will offer ECU’s full suite of products, including consumer and mortgage lending, personal and business accounts, drive‑through tellers, and ATMs.
“We’re excited about the fresh new look of this branch, but we’re here to build more than a branch. We’re in the business of building relationships,” said Price.
Improving members’ financial well‑being and strengthening financial literacy within local communities are core elements of ECU’s culture.
Price proudly announced a new partnership with Girls Inc. of Hamblen County to offer a co‑branded financial education platform for use in its summer and after‑school programs. The opportunity is made possible through ECU’s Banzai platform, which provides financial literacy courses, tools, and curricula for members, communities, and schools. ECU currently supports 232 schools with in‑school curricula, including approximately 20 in the greater Lakeway Area and eleven in Hamblen County.
Through Banzai, students and adults gain practical, real‑world financial skills using engaging, game‑based learning simulations that cover budgeting, taxes, debt management, and everyday financial decision‑making.
ECU is also a Champion‑level sponsor of the Taste of Morristown event on Thursday, April 9, at Walters State.
“We are honored to support organizations that make a meaningful impact on the lives of others,” said Price. “Community partnerships are at the heart of who we are as a credit union.”
During ECU’s groundbreaking, Price presented a $2,500 donation to Daily Bread Community Kitchen, as continued support of the organization’s mission to serve local families in need. ECU began supporting Daily Bread Community Kitchen through its employee led Casual for a Cause fundraiser in 2023.
A special donation of $5,000 to support additional programming was also awarded to Girls Inc. of Hamblen County at the groundbreaking.
ECU proudly supports multiple Morristown‑area initiatives, including Small Business Awards of Excellence, United Way of Hamblen County, Morristown‑Hamblen Hospital Foundation, Lakeway Area Habitat for Humanity, Isaiah 117 House, Future Ready Expo, and Lakeway CASA.
“Our focus has always been on creating opportunities and putting our members first,” said Price. “We look forward to serving Morristown with the extraordinary service and care that defines ECU.”
Construction on the Morristown branch began in March, with an opening planned for late 2026.
