      Mortgage Loan Originator Functions:

      Interview applicants applying for mortgage and home equity loans and examines, evaluates and recommends approval of member applications for residential real estate loans.

       

      Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

       

      • In depth understanding of both general lending and specific mortgage regulatory compliance
      • Follow up with referrals generated by MLO development efforts (sale meetings, realtor office visits and professional organization meetings).
      • Interview prospective borrowers, determine borrowers’ financial goals, and present appropriate ECU product options.
      • Discuss loan pricing and lock options.
      • Gather application data such as income, assets, sales contract, etc.
      • Enter personal and financial information in loan origination system, and analyze applicant financial status to determine feasibility of granting loan.
      • Determine if loan meets minimum approval criteria and either deny or submit for disclosure and processing
      • Review loan application and pertinent disclosures (loan estimate, closing disclosure, etc.) with applicants
      • Compile loan package and discusses loan terms with applicant in accordance with ECU guidelines and policies.
      • Deliver loan package for disclosure within 1 day of application
      • Confer with underwriter/processing to aid in resolving mortgage underwriting conditions
      • Assist members with inquiries and information requests
      • Inform loan applicant of credit decision
      • Responsible for ensuring extraordinary experience for members, realtors, mortgage staff and business partners through excellent communication, responsiveness, follow-up and follow-through
      • Utilize ECU issued cell phone to provide excellent service to ECU members, non-members, realtors and other individuals
      • Manages pipeline to insure timely loan processing and closing.
      • Work with Manager, Mortgage Business Development to resolve loan closing roadblocks.
      • Promote and cross-service other ECU products and services as appropriate to member needs.
      • Continuing education. Self-identify areas where additional training / instruction would be helpful. Ongoing and routine review of policy, guidelines, procedures, and regulatory matters to ensure compliance.

      Desktop Support Specialist

      Eastman Credit Union is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide technical support for ECU staff. The Desktop Support Specialist will gather data and provide initial response for reported issues and, if unable to resolve, follow escalation protocols to the proper tier two support teams.       POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Schedule, process, and validate daily automated clearing house and batch processing.
      • Apply working knowledge of PC software and hardware, operating system and network services to provide technical end user support via email, phone, and desk-side assistance.
      • Interact with tier two IT Operations support staff to restore service and/or identify and correct reported issues.

      Commercial Lending Representative Functions:

      Promote credit union services to present and potential business/commercial members. Advise and assist business members to develop commercial and investment financial strategies. Assist in the growth of deposits and a quality member business loan (MBL) portfolio by ensuring excellent service for existing members and actively soliciting new business. Maintain accurate risk ratings, up to date financial reporting and conduct credit reviews on assigned MBL portfolio.

      • Develop ECU’s business loan portfolio. Solicit new business.  
      • Consult present and potential members on ECU business loans and deposit services.

      • Formulate and articulate loan recommendations. Must be able to interpret ambiguous and complex data using independent judgment and discretion.  
      • Ensure sound analysis and adherence to prudent lending practices, procedures, guidelines, policies, regulations, and laws.  
      • Grade loan requests appropriately in accordance with guidelines.  
      • Issue commitment letters in conformity with loan approval conditions and ECU lending standards.  
      • Oversee the loan process from application through closing. Interact with service providers to facilitate loan process.  
      • Responsible for ongoing serving and credit administration functions related to assigned loan portfolio.  
      • Maintain, monitor, and manage all assigned loans and take action on any delinquencies.  
      • Request continued documents such as financial statements from the business member in a timely manner.  
      • Consistently review portfolio to assure all loans are graded appropriately at all times to mitigate risk.  
      • Conduct timely annual credit reviews on assigned portfolio.  
      • Monitor delinquencies and charge-offs to understand and eliminate controllable contributing factors.  
      • Keep abreast of changes/trends in the industry as well as the national and local economy.  
      • Interact with employees and members to ensure service excellence.  
      • Make regular calls to businesses and business contacts to establish relationships and to increase awareness of services provided by ECU.  
      • Develop standards for operating efficiencies, identify and correct any internal control deficiencies.  
      • Assist in business services training for staff.
